How can we get Gibson to make more Darkbacks?

I love iced tea bursts and also like other bursts in the brown color range. However, my aversion to the typical cherry red back narrows down my choices considerably. I think a teaburst, lemonburst, sunrise teaburst and darkburst look incongruous with a cherry red back. I think the back should come close to approximating the color of darkest part of the burst. I don't care if it's not vintage correct or not congruent with BOTB originals. I have a beautiful R0 iced tea with a dark back but would also love the option of the same in an R8.

Re: Ho can we get Gibson to make more Darkbacks?

It's pretty hard to get Gibson to do something unless your name is Jimmy, Joe, or Slash. They don't even take custom orders any more. Perhaps the comments in the assorted LP forums eventually make there way to Gibson but who knows. In the mean time you can always get a nice historic that meets all the criteria you desire and send it to a good painter like Historic Makeovers and complete the final detail.

Yup! 25 or more for a special run, per Gibson.

How did we get "Ho" instead of "How?" This ain't about "Ho's!"
