Hence the reason for a poll.

It is subjective, bruhthah!!!

P.S. this poll allows MULTIPLE choices from each voter...

Re: Which is THE best sounding Les Paul in existence???

I think depends in what mood I'm in. Most days I'd go for JP's #1, but you have omitted Paul Kossoff's burst so that would be up there. Then again I can't resist Greenies or EC's Beano either.
Don't suppose that as helped much.

Kossoff was the one on my list that just missed the cut. I LOVE the tone of that Lester. Check out youtube for a live tv studio version from the Marquee of "All Right Now". THICK

I would have to vote for Knopfler's 58 as well, and as he's not on the list...

Cool Re: Which is THE best sounding Les Paul in existence???

1958-Reissue with the thick neck

Gibson’s legendary Burstbucker pickups deliver all the subtle variations of true, classic humbucker tone by using historically “unmatched” bobbin windings and Alnico II magnets.
Other historical appointments include CTS potentiometers, bumble bee capacitors,

Just been listening to some Mick Taylor Stones stuff. Must have been almost as close to the cut as one of Kossoff's Bursts... Would have voted Koss if he'd made the cut. My all time favourite Burst slinger...

Re: Which is THE best sounding Les Paul in existence???

There's actually a great deal of truth in the "MY LP" statement, as to what one would consider to be the best LP in existence, as it's the player just as much as the guitar.

This has been debated many times over so I won't go into it but the even the so called best LP in the wrong hands can be disastrous.

There are just too many variables to consider to have to say that this is the 'Best One' hands down based on the guitar alone.

Oh & to answer the question.

Without a doubt it would be MINE!

My man, the voting is limited to 5 choices, and they are celebrity Les Pauls, not our own. I think my R0s BOTH toast the entire list, but that is not what this poll is about.
