Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
I get the feeling it's gonna be expensive, and TM aged due to the "headstock and heel" repair.
Anyone know when it's due to come out? |

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
I believe the picture to the right was taken in Chicago
April '77 .LZ played 4 nights at the old Chicago Stadium. I was lucky enough to go 3 of the 4 nights.Pagey got sick drunk one night and the show was cut short. |

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
I'd like to what switching options it comes with. We can pretty much guess the rest of the specs:
Murphy aged Page compound radius neck profile Page Buckers Grovers (in the picture)

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
Well if they're going to accurately replicate the wiring, it should have 2 switches under the pickguard for phase switching and series/parallel and then 4 push pulls for coil split and more parallel wiring options.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
Now that would be cool, but I think they will just use the wiring from the '97 Page Sig.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
There's 4 push pulls for coil splitting and putting all 4 coils in parallel and then there's two switches under the pickguard for phase switching and series/parallel switching. It's probably the most overhyped thing I've seen, he didn't even use it during Led Zeppelin.

#2 was a '59 Burst (Serial# 91703) which Page is believed to have bought sometime shortly after the '73 US tour in England. The guitar didn't make an appearance until January 1975, and would only be used this year except for a noise solo at Knebworth. #2 was the Kashmir guitar in 1975, not the Danelectro. It was also sometimes used for Dazed and Confused, Moby Dick, and Over the Hills and Far Away. You can see Kashmir, Over the Hills and Far Away and Moby Dick performances with #2 at Earls Court in '75.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
Jimmy's Number#2 had its neck shaved to resemble that of #1. so if you don't like the neck on Jimmy's last replica, you probly wont like this one. But if you do, its a good chance to get a replica of a guitar Jimmy considered not worthy of been given #1 status by him.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
I'm pretty sure it will. My guess is will be the same as the last one but a different colour with the switching options from the 97 sig.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
hopefully it will also have the two switches under the guard as well. i think it would make a good "#2" next to my Page CA. I have two of those at the moment; one needs to go.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
#2 had PAFs and reportedly still does, they were rewired when the wiring mods took place. There was some speculation #3 (his red '69/70 Custom) had the Dimarzio, I highly doubt that though. Forget the magazine article but it had Seymour Duncans in it in the late 80's, supposedly these are what the Seymour Duncan Jimmy Page pickups are based on.

Re: New Jimmy Page Sig?
They cannot accurately do this guitar uncovered without double cream pickups as that is what was in it when they replicated it. They will probably pay a royalty to Larry DiMarzio so they can do it...
