this one is not an LP -- but it has one of the best Flame tops of any guitar I have ever owned.

Re: Let's See Your Flametop !!!

Could almost be a new thread, but how many people round here are into cameras?

I've not yet enlisted got into the high end digital revolution, but I might drag out my old Nikon FE2 next time the sun shines and see if I can get a shot or two of my R9. I know Bobbo is mad for photos of beautiful bursts, but I have yet to take one that does justice... Then all I've got to do is get it into a computer friendly medium.

Re: Let's See Your Flametop !!!

Already in another thread, but here's my 01 R9. Colour is reasonably close to how it looks, but you have to be there to see the flame properly. Guess all the flametypes are like that

Hey Bobbo,

This pic is with the PAF's in. '56 Knobs, DMC washer and R/T ring, 50's tip, RS brackets, and aged pickguard. Oh yeah and a '56 TRC.

A mighty purdy geetar !! ( as he wipes the drool from his mouth ...) It has a very authentic 50's grain and color !! I decked my R8 out with DMC everything , Vintage Clone pickguard and knobs and some pigtail studs and Luxe bumblebee's !

sorry to intrude with my plaintop .. Just want to show Dan the hardware ..

Only things that aren't DMC on my R8 are the pickguard and knobs which are Vintage Clone from Historic Makeovers ! Now if I could only make it talk as good as you make your R9 .. I'd be a happy man !!! Ocassionaly I get Flame envy but I get over it !!
