Remember, IF it smells too good to be true, Probably is, and if one is going for a great price, theres gonna be stiff competition and at least one person out there with Ebay Sniping program, which catchs the bid in the last 30 seconds and submits a bid

Re: serial code on r9???

Every Sunday night the same guy using various hijacked accounts puts a load of LP on ebay. Usually the same ones. Plus there are random events like this by various people who hijacked accounts and rip off other peoples listings. I only notice Les Pauls, but with the millions and millions of high dollar items on ebay, there must be at LEAST 10s of thousands of bogus auctions on ebay weekly.. And to think EVERY LAST hijacked account was caused by some schmoe voluntarily giving up his personal information to some alarming warning email/phishing scam!

the lifted listings takes no interaction with the person he lifts the auction from. So many of these say they are based in UK. I think some of these are sweat shops, with MANY people in one room who work for for organizations who pay them peanuts as they rake in the dough. Organized crime, and I am sure some are aligned with terrorists.

I know many of you will scoff!!

Of course their are plenty of independent ones too.

Re: serial code on r9???

Hi, I have just purchased a 2007 59' lemonburst which has a 97xxxx number with no space. Some of the 2001 butterscotch 58's also had six digit inkstamps with no gap.

Re: serial code on r9???

All of the Historic style SN with 6 digits will have no gap. Once they reach 1000 units that year for a paticular series, the gap is filled.
