the few Sandys I have seen so far have gorgeous tops. Just the right flame/grain/color combination to give me huge GAS

They should use some of the money they've made off of you to rent a carpet cleaner. That's gross.

Michael are you sure? I have seen several that have tops that do not come close to the original Sandy in any way, shape or form. The tops will more than likely be all over the place as per usual.

Re: Sandy: who is getting one

^^^ Rudi, I agree that there have been some tops that are nothing like Sandy, but some of those have been stunning nonetheless. It's funny, because ordinarily I'd want to buy one of those in a heartbeat because they're so nice, but because they're supposed to be copies of Sandy, but don't look like (her), I'm less interested.

Agree Frank. I love a great Lemonburst & a nice top but the whole Sandy thing just makes this well...........................a copy!

But if it works for some or many, great.

The tops are different on each and some are more 3D than others but they all have the same Sandy ish figure to them.
They are all stunning regardless of how strong the figure is.The color is great.
They play and sound great as well.
You have to see these in person as this kind of top is real hard to photograph as they really are.

I can just imagine, trying to get a great photo is not always easy on these tops.

Michael, you are certainly lucky being close to ........the store I shall not mention, unless they pay me an advertising fee........

I know I keep winding you up about this but in reality if I lived near you, it would be a major struggle to see who could get through that bloody door first, when the store opened in the morning.

Re: Sandy: who is getting one

Gorgeous looking tops (thanks for posting Michael), if it came without the pickguard screwed in already I'd probably jump all over one.

But instead will just keep trying to find an R8 or R9 with a top like that

Interesting guitar. I'm trying to find out more about them and what makes them unique. I have started my search for a new les paul and was thinking about an early 2000's brazilian but I like these also.

I picked this one....#31
The boards are a nice dark chocolate like theCC#2 Goldies and CC#1s.Solid boards perhaps. They don't look like the boards that are on everything else.
I really like the way these look and feel.I can't wait to plug her into my gear.

that's nice one. I agree that the tops must be seen in person, even seeing hi res pics on other sites of the actual guitar, it's very hard to go on photos alone. Happy NGD...
