Re: Let's see those 1968 Reissues!!

I asked my luthier to use human bone for the nut but he didn't think he could find some.
I think it just made him a little uncomfortable..... damn hippy.

He said it would be cow bone.

So I met him half way and settled on the cow but one with
mad cow disease.

Every little bit of MOJO helps.

Actually, you probably could have gone to a university and asked for a chunk of human bone. I like creepy shit, so I think it would be cool.

Broke mine twice in a total of 5 places.

Probably not much MOJO in an ankle bone anyway.

My guy usually gets more than one in when he gets them. I think we'll both be safe.

Re: Let's see those 1968 Reissues!!

I am going down there saturday after visiting Randy Rhoads' grave in san bernadino. Since this place considers it the best, I want to go have a looksee . have you told him yet? I can ask him to find us twins when we are down there, though i dont know if he will know if he will recognize boleskinehouse as a first name.

He'll know who Travis and Amanda are. I haven't talked to him about it yet, but you go right ahead!

Ya guys know I've been thinking about a White one myslf for a few weeks now... luckily I've been thinking of the 1974 LPC! I already have a... ahem... black one!

Don't want to get in anyone's way there!

Just to be on the safe side I might give my GC boy a call and see if he can spot a '68 in white for me? Lemme know what kind of price your boy gives you!

I'd have to swap out the PUPs... just doesn't seem right to *me* to have the same guitar just in different finishes! Even though it is one BADASS guitar stock!

Re: Let's see those 1968 Reissues!!

One of these days I am gonna get myself a '68 reissue, but I am gonna pimp it out Ace Frehley style with some original 60's Pat. Pending pearl Grovers that I have sitting here waiting for the right guitar. I love the look of an LP Custom with a flame top.

Re: Let's see those 1968 Reissues!!

Oh, I know you guys arent EVEN thinking of ordering white 68's without including me???????

And I agree Hemp. I'd "for sure" change the pups, more than like, BB 1 & 2. not the pros. and I'd probably change the caps have to kick that one
around though.

I think I can swing it, as long as somebody buys my Studio & Standard.
Need to ask Saul if he will do some swap'n!

Re: Let's see those 1968 Reissues!!

I already sent a text to my GC connection... waiting for the reply!

Definately put the BB 1&2 in a second '68 RI!!
I really love the BB 1&2 in my G0! Killer PUPs!

That '68 Swamp Ash has a very groovey top on it!

A little!

Dudes all like... everything is stock/original. Color faded as they all do, no over spray, some checking on top. No orginal case!

Umm yeah I'm watching too see if the price comes down any, which if this guy wants to sell it he will have to come down!

If I can pick up a '74 White LPC for the same price or lower than a new '68 RI... well, hehehehe! I'm gonna have to start robbing banks for a living!
