Re: Where to get ABR Thumbwheels?
Ok, it's a little bit expensive for thumbwheels but Retrospec and THP are the only ones with the correct materials, size, thickness and look…
It depends on what you really want. Simply new thumbwheels or vintage correct ones… |

Retrospec out if stock for some time. Kim said hes in the process of switching manufacturers. Hope he gets the toggle ring and wheels/posts in sometime soon. I get the impression it will be some time.

Re: Where to get ABR Thumbwheels?
I just ordered some from Callaham guitar parts. They have "vintage" one's that look like an improvement over standard Gibson modern parts. I like their fine machining philosophy that I read on the site. They had good close-ups of the thumbwheels, which are $10, $12 with the studs, which is what I just ordered.

Re: Where to get ABR Thumbwheels?
A side note:
They have a $25 minimum order amount that wasn't a problem when I ordered by phone. I only needed the studs and wheels for $12, then $6 for S&H. The thumbwheels are very cool with tapered edges and look to be improvement over what's available from the "major producer" guitar maker. I dig G*%@#n, and don't want to get banned on site for misunderstanding my praise of a product other than theirs. Just a good product, has no personality. BTW: They come in 6/32 standard, and even have half metric, half standard, for install on conversion studs. My old LP needs the standard, which I didn't see at Stewmac. Several other places I looked didn't carry standard and I stopped looking when I saw Callaham's close-up comparison pictures. |

Re: Where to get ABR Thumbwheels?
BTW, Callaham's Nashville conversion studs are excellent.
