Re: Nsgd

Thanks guys. She is in totally mint, like new condition and looks like she hasn't been played in a very long time if ever. She needed a little TLC so I cleaned her, oiled the fretboard, polished the fretwires, and set her up to my liking. I didn't replaced the strings because they look like 10's to me but when I played her they feel like 9's, very easy to bend. The neck is like I hope it would be, just a regular R9 neck. It was suggested before that she will have a extra thick neck which is not the case so I am totally stoke about that. The BBs sounds awesome too and that is great coz I would really hate it if I have to change the pickups on this. Now the question is, to install a pickguard or not? It never had a pickguard installed and it doesn't have holes for screws. What do you guys think.

Re: Nsgd

Pick guard? Did you say pick guard? Pick guard?

And hide that flame?

Seriously, just keep the guard with it. It can always be added very easy.

It can never be undone. Repaired yes. Undone, no.

I suspect you will not be thrashing that piece of art anyway. That's more of a parlor guitar than a Fri. night gig ax IMHO.
So if you do get a pick rash or two, it can be buffed out.

Congrats and HNGD! I'm not big on mega flames, but yours quite simply stuns me! I'd be proud to be the owner of that guitar!

Re: Nsgd

If you drill a hole in that guitar that wasn't drilled from the factory...............I WILL hunt you down! <-----not joking!

Congrats!
That might be one of the finest tops and finish on an MM Stinger ever!!!!
....IMO, of course!

A very tasty, tasty score you have gotten there, that is just spectacular!!!!!

I'm glad you like the neck!
Even tho, it is still spec'd out as an "X".................

Enjoy that fine piece of history!!!!

CONGRATS!

Thanks man. I always value your opinion so I won't put a hole on this. Maybe a screwless pickguard.

Someday I will buy a caliper and I will measure the neck so we can change that spec in your file which BTW I also would like to have a copy of.

I'm glad you are not gonna drill her!!!

As one of the "Cover Girls" in the brochure.......she should always look exactly like her picture. Otherwise, your provenance is a little more meaningless, IMO.

Oh, I forgot to send that...I'll get on it!

Enjoy her well !!!!!!!
