Antiquity JB in a Reissue...anyone?
Hey everyone! I posted this in the pickups sub-forum, but thought it might also be prudent to check in here. Please advise if any input available. Thanks!
Hello, Gang. First, in full disclosure, I did conduct a search first.... Next, has anyone dropped the ant JB into the bridge position of a lighter and bright Les Paul? If so, how did it sound for heavier blues and classic rock to Steve Stevens or Alice in Chains harder stuff? Did the aging/degaussing of the pickup to make it an Ant take some of the edge off the JB? I'm loving the sound of a regular JB I dropped into a FrankenTele I slapped together, but find it just a tad harsh (nothing the tone control on your guitar cannot tame). However, I thought I would look to this group for some takes from folks that may have dropped one of these into their LPs. Also, I am not asking for how a regular JB sounds ---- I know that and thanks for only comments on the Ant JB. Peace. Mike
