yep they do.

They have a bunch of vintage Hollowbodies but no on the ES-125 TDC.
They have a cool NOS R9 50th anni.
No R0 version 1 at this time.
Two CR8s (nice), and some 2112 R9s.
Got some lefties too.....
and I got my Goldie COA.

Re: NGD:Lots of new Historics at The HOG.

Hey mfolet, the quote below (yours) is from another thread that's been locked . You do know that if the guitar comes right out of the box fully in tune , that's a bad thing ? Yes . Not picking bones but I didn't see anyone else say anything about that .

"Every single guitar with these boards were perfectly in tune right out of the box from the factory".

Yours too

Me:
Yeah , Any others like your New R0 there ? or a killer top R4 ? I'm looking for some p-90's . Thanks

Re: NGD:Lots of new Historics at The HOG.

That is correct.Every one was in tune and I see that as a good thing. That was 8 of them fresh off the truck.

I believe what you wrote , but normally the strings are detuned so the neck doesn't snap . I'm not picking a fight or anytrhing I was just saying that Gibson knows better than to ship guitars that way . If they all got there in good condition , lucky them .

Any word on a killer R0 ?

Re: NGD:Lots of new Historics at The HOG.

FWIW, I've recieved several guitars from dealers that were tuned to pitch.

Re: NGD:Lots of new Historics at The HOG.

Not yet on a R0,I'll let ya know.
I've always got guitars from the factory in standard A440 tuned and I always shipped with them in tune also. Think about it...the guitar is set up that way to play and you have neck tension equalized with the sting tension and trussrod. When you have tension going one way then you have trouble. The Gibsons and PRS I have seen come straight out of the box were tuned at the factory and shipped, some shift and go out of tune by the time they get to the store.

Re: NGD:Lots of new Historics at The HOG.

Thanks, they seem to get some fine tops at that store , and i'd like to get a killer R0 .

This is the first time I've heard of that happening on a wide scale . I've opened up hundreds of Gibson's and never had that . I still say it's not a good thing to ship a guitar tuned to pitch . It's in transit for a few days, so the lack of tension should not cause any problems.

It could be the the guitars are shipped de-tuned and over a few days the guitar tightens up, bring the guitar into tune . I know that when I don't use some of my guitars for a while they go sharp when I take them out to play . Anyway as long as the arrive in good order , no harm no foul .
