Ngd, r4!
Bought it, excited, won't have it for a few weeks, but it will be soon!
I've been looking around for months to find the perfect R4, its hard since there aren't many and I'm picky. I like super dark boards, and a nice top carve, and finding a light r4 is tough since they usually are heavy buggers. I ended up getting this gloss one at daves, very nice dark board, the new ones should (I'm hoping anyways) have nylon nuts, and have steel studs, and the tailpieces gibson are putting out these days look good, alot sharper of a peak so I shouldnt have to replace it with a pt any time soon. Also, they finally figured out how to match the plastics colour which always bugged the hell out of me and its super hard to find replacement p90 covers of the right colour. And its light at 8.4lb! The only things I dont like are the back is a bit light, but not as bad as some I've seen and of course the logo is too high for a 54, but over all I hope it will be deadly ![]() Other than that, replacement inlays/tips from retrospec are already on their way!

Re: Ngd, r4!
Beautiful! I have a 2010 R4, and it is KILLER. Also a low weight like yours. I really love the neck on mine - big, C shape but not TOO big... If ya know what I mean. Blues, classic rock - the R4 is killer. And I really like the wraptail bridge. My intonation is just perfect and I can bend so easily.
