Re: P-90 equipped historic picture thread

Now you see why I started this thread...

By the way, here's the B4 I ended up returning. If any fellow Canadians come across this guitar, be warey of a neck issue. I was told it would be sent back to Yorkville Music as defective. From there it may be listed as B-stock are redistributed. 4 8061.

Great sounding guitar, I must say!

Re: P-90 equipped historic picture thread

Don't know if you wanna include this but it looks really old and sounds amazing... a Les Paul Special that I found today and had to get on the spot. Never really wanted a Junior or Special a whole lot but I saw this, had to play it and it is just friggin amazing! I look at the year? 1997. Strange how things work at times. Haven't put it down since I got home. Hope you like it!

Re: P-90 equipped historic picture thread

I started a thread about these on the LPF

Billy Gibbons' 1 PUP GT:

and one from Dave's run:

The assembly of the control knobs is different.

Phil52, that's got to be one of the coolest looking GTs out there.
I'd love one of these...a Bob Marley sig, too!

Re: P-90 equipped historic picture thread

Sorry you had to return the B4, they are truly great sounding and looking guitars.. On the other hand, a good p-90 Goldtop is also something special. If you get tired of the stock electronics, I can recommend an rs-kit and a set of Lollar's 50s wind. Made a HUGE difference in my R6..

Congrats on the new axe!

Yeah, I want to upgrade one RI. It's still too early to tell if I want to upgrade the R6, though. It'll probably be the R8, but time will tell. Thanks for the recommendation!

Re: P-90 equipped historic picture thread

You guys should go for a real late 50s early 60s P-90. There's NOTHING like one.

The one from Dave's run is a real Gibson. It was a very limited run.
Don't know who built the Rev's. As said before, his has a different assembly of the control knobs and the finish has heavy aging.
