Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
I have the opportunity to have Mr. Bonamassa sign one of my guitars at a meet-n-greet in Portland, Oregon on Dec 14th.
THANKS to forum member, and great friend, tjhemp!!!!!!! My qustion for you all is: Do I have him sign my Stinger on the back of the headstock? OR Do I have him sign the one and only MLP/Rist guitar? If you are new to the forum or are unfamiliar with this guitar, go here: "The official MLP Rist Guitars build thread" In your opinion, would this de-value a guitar in your mind...in any way? |

I'd have him sign the Rist. Plus he may be able to take it for a quick spin around the block and see what all the fuss is about

pickguards are a popular spot. easily removable and replaceable to spare the actual guitar from the ink and so you can still play it and not screw up your autograph

PG off your Stinger & take the Rist for him too have a play of.
He is a nut about guitars & likes playing different stuff. Keep an eye out for him playing a Black Bonamassa guitar built by Tom Bartlett.

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
I don't dig autographs myself. I wouldn't buy a guitar that has a sig on unless I was pretty sure I could get it off there, certainly wouldn't pay more for it.
Having said that a nice gold paint pin autograph on the back of the stinger headstock would look pretty good. May would have to take the tuners off to give him better access to it so he can have a good wack at it.

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
Whoops sorry Mark. I knew that i think
That would be cool esp if you're bringing the Stinger! So do you have your Tickets? I was on Stub Hub and thought about buying a Ticket out front? What do you think? Where is Arelene Shcnitzer?

tjhemp has the tickets so I can't give you exact seats and row. The "schnitz" as we call it is at 1037 S.W. Broadway in downtown Portland. arlene schnitzer concert hall address - Google Maps ........I'm pretty sure the Stinger is going. The Meet-n-greet is at 4:30, then we have to run guitars back to a different friends house for security....then back to the show. |

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
Ok very Cool. So i'm going to buy a Ticket out front of the Show...? just to confirm. Is there a way for me to get into the Meet and Greet? I can be your Assistant?
I know exactly where the Venue is..Figured it was Broadway. I've probably been there a few times if they changed the name.

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
I agree..Just got off the Phone with my Brother and looks like he and his Gf want to go now. If it was just me would've been easy to buy a Single ticket. So checking out Stubhub there's a set located on Row A 13, 14. How are those? My Brother has been to the Schintz a few times. I understand was a Shot in the Dark bout tagging along

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
I'd have him sign a pick guard or something.

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
I was doing most of the photography; the video was running on the tripod. Mrs. DelawareGold was doing her best to keep things in focus, and in view. So, I spent very little time actually talking to Joe. He was very accommodating. I would have liked to spend some quality time with him, but when you only have a few minutes of his time, you have to make the most of it.

Re: Which guitar to have Bonamassa sign?
I had him sign a PG, then framed it with a few photos I took at the show.
I think it's a pretty tasteful way to go about it.
