Re: Couple of my colorful '57 RI's
Love the red one! Very nice pair. What years are they? Both these are R7s? I thought the wrap around bridges were replaced by stoptails/ABR-1s by 1957. Do you know if the red finish is called "vintage red"? Also, is it transparent or opaque? Does anyone else find the knob placement on the blue guitar odd? It doesn't coincide with all other Les Pauls does it?
Thanks for sharing...(sorry for all the questions)

Re: Couple of my colorful '57 RI's
Awesome, I love those colors!Congrats!!! ![]() ...hey, how about a review/tone report/random thoughts (anything...) on the single pickup axe. Actually, I'm dying a little every day ( I can't take it any more) cuz I've been waiting over 7 months for my "special" one... one pickup that is... |

Re: Couple of my colorful '57 RI's
Damn! Someone on eBay wants $4k for their pelham blue R7, just like the OPs R7.
I guess it pays to go with the odd ones!

Re: Couple of my colorful '57 RI's
thanks everyone..I am really happy with the red R7. However the nut (G and D strings) gave me a little bit of a problem until I filed the slots
The fretboard on the red one is super dark which is a nice bonus
