Nice guitar Mfolet, nice looking top for sure. I have never checked one out. Do they sound a little like a semihollow?

Re: Historic Chambered Club...show them

So how much do these guys weigh? Maybe it'd be worth posting that with your photos.

My solid R9 weighs so much less than my cheesed Trad, so does a chambered Historic feel like a Strat with a heavy neck?

Nice top on that one, Moflet! Looks great with the double creams too!

I would not have guessed brighter. Interesting. I bet it balances well while playing in sitting position!

Re: Historic Chambered Club...show them

Yeah, it does not sound too different than a solidbody. It sounds like an old guitar. It gives the illusion of an old dried out guitar. It is a tad bright, and the pickups are unpotted, a little microphonic, in a good way.

7.4lbs

That's a very good description of the 'chambered sound'!

Re: Historic Chambered Club...show them

just got this a couple of days ago---really like it, not much different from my 08 R8, neck is a little thinner, not too much volume difference when played acoustically but is lighter but not a huge difference there either---haven't taken pics at home so here is a pic from the dealer's site

Hey Mike,

I haven't had time to get over to the HOG. Do they have more of these?

Thanks,

This is an '07 CR8 that I used to own (but wish I still had):

Boy, if I still had this one, it would most certainly be off getting a makeover right now!

Nice!

Lots of nice looking guitars in this thread. Keep 'em coming! I think the figured CR8s tend to look more like vintage bursts than a lot of R9s do.

No, the goldtop and darkburst are solid. Both are pretty light but on stage I prefer the CR's or my Teye.

i would agree with that (and i'm not just saying that because I have one, it was actually one of the reasons that I went with a CR)
