FEDEX........Efffing sucks!!!!!

After numerous phone calls, wading thru corporate Bull Shit and piss poor customer service...............FEDEX just admitted that my Stinger is lost......they don't know where it is.........not even a clue!


If you believe in God...say a prayer for me and the Stinger, please!
(if they find it after Fedex pays an insurance claim.....they destroy the item, I'm told)

If you don't believe in God..........please, put good vibes out to the Universe for me.

Right now and ONLY right now.....it F'n sucks to be LPCollector!

Fedex DOES suck. I had a (much much less expensive) guitar turn up "unaccounted for" for a few days, and it ended up showing up just fine, so there is still hope.

True Story:
I beat up a Fedex driver 8 years ago. The guy was a total ass, and being a real dick head over a package that he was supposed to deliver to me.
I was banned by Fedex "Forever" regarding any future deliveries.

I really feel for you, but am also quite upset that they'll destroy the item if they find it after they pay you off! What if I were shipping my mother's ashes?
I know people who swear by FedEx over UPS for shipping guitars, but in my experience UPS hires much better people. FedEx guy here whines every time about how hard it is to find my house, even though he's been here a dozen times in 4 years. UPS guy remembers my face, my car (even my wife and dogs), and will flag us down on the road to deliver if he thinks we're heading out of town and will miss the delivery.

A couple of years ago I sent my 04 R9 Les Paul from Florida to Minnesota. Sent it myself to meet me here.

Well I get back and my guitar is not here, my 67 SuperBass was(Thank God) but not the guitar. That amp is irreplacible but the missing guitar still ticked me off because they were sent together.

Contacted Fed Ex. We don't know where your guitar is. Sorry for any inconvenience

So I tell them to find it or will raise hell and they will get sued.

Next day it arrives. They said it was sent to a different place 2 miles away.

How do you F up that bad? honestly I just wanted to kick them in the teeth.

Not to mention when bought it and I first received the guitar. I required a sig to get the axe and they leave it on my porch outside for the free world to take while I am sitting at work waiting for my guitar which was supposed to be shipped there. 2 hours go by and I know when they deliver in this area so I decide to say F it all I get home and there is $4000 guitar just sitting on my porch. It had just started to rain to.

Same thing when I received my 62 strat. Wait for it all day at home and it was shipped to my work. which still kinda ticked me off but at least I had people I could trust and knew it would be safe. Apparently the invoice had come off the box and they used the secondary adress that was written underneath the original tag that was supposed to be on it.

Fed ex can suck it for all I care.

How the hell do they lose an item? Espicially something that size... Also why the hell would they destroy a guitar because of the insurance. I bet if anything they say they destroy it and sell it on eBay. Their perk is free shipping.

FedEx just called.....appperently, the guitar was loaded on a truck in Santa Fe and never reached Denver.
The C.A.T. manager without my provocation, has alerted the Security Dept. and started a claim.............................

However.......I know the Universe is consipiring in my favor!

............so there is still hope!

Sorry to hear that, and I hope it turns out well for you in the end. Waiting for expensive guitars through the mail is almost like an expectant father.

The hard truth is.... it's NOT lost. Dollars to donuts says that some unscrupulous driver, whether OTR or delivery owns a very nice LP. My father-in-law used to work for one of the large shipping companies and he says that's usually what happens when something cannot be found. I don't think the carrier would go to the extent of a cover-up should they find out that's what happened in order to avoid some bad PR, but they may not investigate all that much either.

Personally, I prefer UPS everytime. Like someone else said.... I see my local driver on the road 5 miles or more from my house and he always waves to me.
