Interesting new gold top model at Wildwood !

Hey check out this new model from Wildwood Guitars. It also comes in black. If it wasn´t 7000 miles away I would check it out in a heartbeat ! I wish those pick ups come up for sale seperatly.

Its beautiful, but whats so special?

I find it funny that they say "Hand Selected Hardwoods" All pieces of wood are hard and hand selected for any historic guitar.

Re: Interesting new gold top model at Wildwood !

An extra $300 for " special" wound pickups and long anchor studs?
That is the only difference than a regular ol' R7?
Am I right?
Do R7's come with lightweight tailpieces?

In the wood world, there are indeed soft woods, like pine, etc that come from conifers.

First and foremost the pick ups. I think it is interesting to get an alternative to 57 classics and burstbuckers.
And when this model comes up for sale used it will be close to a regular 57 RI.

Yes, there is hard water and soft water...its all water.

Unless the guitar is made with balsa wood, all wood are hard.

Most if not all buyers of les pauls change the pickups, so save that money to buy a good 300$ boutique set.

Difficult to believe (especially on this date) but balsa is a hardwood by strict definition. It's because it comes from a broad leaved flowering tree. Softwoods come from conifers.

Will you give it a break with the facts, Liam?

I really liked the colour of the back on that GT. The bakelite coloured covers are nice too.

All of the R7s have the same brown backplates.

wildwood usually has some very nice unique guitars but these don't do much for me.
"hand selected hardwoods"? heh.
