I like #1 the best, but the Duane style would be my second choice.

Re: Which outfit do YOU like for my Les Paul?
All are OK but I detest mis-matched knobs! WTF is up with that anyway? Can't people tell they're for different PUs without making them different? Can't peek down to see or see where they're reaching perhaps. Hell I can look around plenty while I'm playing.
The MM knobs are what kills the Joe Bonamassa LP for me, other than that, I rather like the black plastic on the goldtop. I alos love the classic look (AKA '57)

Re: Which outfit do YOU like for my Les Paul?
HI,
Duane Style with Chip or with Pickguard. For me black doesn`t go very well with the creamy GT. BTW it looks like your one has signinficant darkened over time. Shade under the PG and Pokerchip. Thought this couldn`t happen any more with the new nitro formula. Greetings Frank |

Re: Which outfit do YOU like for my Les Paul?
Well, I'm already on record as preferring black parts to cream--so shouldn't be a surprise what I voted for.

Re: Which outfit do YOU like for my Les Paul?
Skydog style...
with my Goldies – always removed as much plastic as possible: bye-bye pick guard and poker chip also, cream pup rings – did not want anything to pull the eye away from the gold finish why obstruct the beauty of a gold finish by cluttering it up with plastic, regardless of the plastic's color? imo plus, i would put (amber or gold, same as with the selector switch knob if i went with amber) speed knobs on it, not just for looks, but in my case, from a functional perspective, i seem to operate their design best... okay, that is what i would do and have done as for you, BostonGuitar, i would be flattered if in your wisdom, you were a copy cat ![]() curious as to what you decide and viewing future photos... you have got the guitar, the rest is icing on the top! good luck :~)

Re: Which outfit do YOU like for my Les Paul?
That cream jackplate is jumping out at me now. Gotta get a black one.
btw - I like the pickguard shadow. It gives it character. It'll go well with any checking that may or may not happen later. |

Re: Which outfit do YOU like for my Les Paul?
Dude... Really? Comparing me to a chick? I am just curious of consensus opinion. I already made the change to outfit #1 just a week ago and will stick with it till I am sick of it. It just inspired me to see who else might share my view, or if not, which look they liked. Sorry if it seemed vain, but my choice was made before the poll, I assure you...
