Re: Page 1995 run??

I do not think any of these were ever made in the custom shop. Where did you hear that? I have never heard that, nor have I ever seen one. All of the ones I have seen had Gibson USA serial numbers and Gibson USA cases. It is a signature guitar, but it is not a Historic LP.

Re: Page 1995 run??

I Had heard the first hundred or so that were made with the grover kidney bean tuners had true compound radius necks like the No.1, dont know if they were made in the custom shop? Thought they were all USA standards?

From what I understand, the whole kidney bean tuner thing as well as some of them having different neck profiles is a myth. I have seen them with those tuner buttons here and there throughout the entire run. And they did not have the real #1 to measure the neck. They all have the same neck; there may be a slight dip in the middle, but it is nowhere near the #1. The guitar was not based off the Page #1. It was based off the guitar made for Page in the early 90s by Roger Giffin; and that guitar was a cross between #1, #2, and something totally different. Besides, why would they go all out on a Gibson USA guitar? I know that Page never even saw a proto type before it was released.

Agreed, Neck nowhere near No.1 in terms of size and shape, but there was a slight radius in the middle of neck on the earliest of that run. I had a '97 it had a straight neck and its profile was that of a 60's neck. It was nice to look at, but thats about it.
