Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
Kelv i would recommend to you to change the PU cover for the DMC ver.II. I just got them yesterday and just finished installing them and WOW they are dead on exactly like the pictures ive seen of real PAF covers, here is a photo.
One thing i love is that they are not all dull lo0king, they really look like they been there and played over, then cleaned and so on, they match perfectly with my hardware that its not completely dull but has some shine on it. ![]() ![]()

Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
Looks better than the one for sale in dawsons Liverpool. £4000, a finish flaw and did not feel too great. Yours looks awesome

Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
Thank you for the kind words.
I'll keep the Pups stock for the moment, I am pretty happy with the way it sounds at the moment or maybe may change it in future. I believe Dawsons still have 3 left? What kind of finishing flaws?

Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
Gibson is really mixing up the CS and USA knobs these days. Shouldn't your guitar have polished top reflectors and not brushed looking ones? Looks like the same is going on with the AFD models, even saw one where it had 3 polished knobs and one brushed.
![]() Either way, that's one heck of a gorgeous guitar! The top is just fantastic, right down my alley. Even the inlays look nicer than usual

Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
I've never noticed the polished/brushed top reflectors until you've mentioned it. Could it be VOS uses brushed tops? Here are a few more pictures with dramatised lighting. ![]() ![]()

Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
I have one, the pickups sound great. I thought I'd be changing them. But I love the way they sound.

Re: New photos - MelvynFranks
One of the best looking tops I've seen.
Nice score
