R7 nut replacement

I had my luthier put a fossil ivory nut on my R7. He told me before the work that the factory nuts can be stubborn to get off, and the way he glued them in made them easier to replace in the future.

After he was done I noticed a very small chip on the 1st string edge of the nut in the Holly veneer. It was tiny but still there. He told me he glued it back down with cyano. I guess Im being picky but does this sometimes happen when replacing nuts. Otherwise it looks great and the guitar plays perfect.
