hahahaha +1 on that! When I ordered my Xaviere I was really excited; I checked the tracking like every hour of the day, and I used to dream about the mailman bringing, it until he finally showed up with it a week later. He musta thought I was nuts because I'd go down everyday to see if he had it

I'm having it shipped to my work since we have a shipping/receiving dept. that way I don't have to worry in case my wife isn't home. I live 30 miles from work and I'm off on Tuesday, so I told the shipping guy here at work that if it happened to show up a day early to call me right away and I'd drive up here.

Oh all sounds so sweetly familiar, The day I got my first LP sat by the window for 8 hours and when the DSL truck finally showed at the end of the street It had 5 stops within 7 houses prior to mine.

Ya,waiting sucks.I got my first Les Paul for Cristmas from my parents.It came in a hard case so my mother rapped it up in ribbon so I couldn't open it.Then she sat it up in the corner of there room for 1 month before I could open it.

I don't think she really knew how much I wanted NOW!

You guys are making me feel better..... One thing I'm telling myself is, "I've spent more than that on a couple guitars put together". So I think that my mind set is changing from quantity to quality. I will keep most of my guitars, but there are a few that are expendable, so if this R9 really does it for me, then I'll probably sell off a few and start buying more Historics down the road.
I also want to mention that Steve (Badhabit) has been awesome to work with, he is a great seller.

its much easier (to me) to justify spending $4000 on four good guitars than spending $4000 on 1 superb guitar.

i think you made the right decision with the Historic. the bad part is. that R9 will ruin all of your USA LPs.
