What do u think of this, Rossington like ?

Hi all,

Need your opinion on this one.
A Yamano special ordered 58 Rossington burst un-reliced but aged (custom authentic aging on the finish + reliced hardware and plastics).

Looks fantastic to me.

Do you think I should pull the triger on this one ?
What would you consider as a good price for this

Thanks for your help

Best regards

G.P

G.P, that is one sharp guitar. That is the type of flame I like best and also really love the figure on the back. Awesome.... no idea what it's worth though but I would make an offer on it, that one is too nice to get away!

Yes,it is a fantastic looking guitar.I was going to post that it was nothing to go 'nuts' over, but having looked at it a number of times i must say,it does grow on you.Hmmm, after having another look i would say 'go for it'-plus-all the Ross owner's rave about them.As for price,i think the other forum guy's are talking around 18-20k.

Sure does look nice - I've heard the same glowing praise but have never judged for myself. Still, I'm thinking that you should do it, they being so rare to start with and this a special order. From what I see, Yamano's do seem to command a hefty premium. Just Do It.

Thanks for the comments.
I'm going slightly mad about this guitar.

One question I have : It's sait to be a 58 (as sait the Serial). Rossington's are based on 59, arn't they ?

Thanks for your help

Cheers

I've always heard 'Bernice' referred to as a '59

Yes, I know about Bernice to be a 59.

Isn't that strange that Yamano ordered some Rossington clones based on a 58 ?

Guitar looks killer though

Best regards

Re: What do u think of this, Rossington like ?

IIRC, Gibson had made the run of 250 Custom Shop Rossington
guitars with the GR S/N’s, and none were offered to Yamano.
Yamano was miffed that such a popular guitar would have been
offered, and none would have been reserved for them.
Gibson was not able to make any more, but did offer Yamano a
“Rossington Like” substitute. It was far short of the original run,
and based on a ’58 model.

Very nice guitar, seems a bit more flamey than the Rossington model, but is it ever a beaut!
