Zinc Tailpiece on R7???
It's a '99 R7 and the tailpiece profile is the vintage style...but I thought these things came with aluminum???
And can anyone recommend a good (semi-affordable) vintage correct replacement? I got one from RS which is nice, but the profile and size is way off from vintage spec. |

Re: Zinc Tailpiece on R7???
The Aluminium one came out in `02. `97 would have zinc. however... some time depending on the guitar, the heavier one will sound better. I have tried an aluminium one on my `62 Melody Maker and found that the compensated zinc one actually made the guitar sound thicker, bigger and had more sustain..
