Question Where should I look for historic deals?

I got a chance to try an R0 earlier this month, and it was amazing. I'd love to get my hands on either a G0 or R8, but don't have a whole lot of extra cash to throw around on my guitar hobby/addiction to get a new one. But I think I can talk myself (and my wife to be [getting married saturday! ]) into getting one if I can find a good deal on one.

So my question to you guys is this: what places are good to watch for that rare chance to snag one below retail besides eBay and sale events at GC?

Rock on

Marc's Guitar Loft appears to be a good place.

Saul at Centre City Music in San Diego Ca. will give you a great deal.
Ship to you, etc. give him a call at 888-5-gibson tell him exactly what
you want, and he will give the exact skinny.

Re: Where should I look for historic deals?

if you want a G0 you're going to either have to find a used one or get one from GC, it's exclusive to them.

Walk in with about $500 less than the price in cash and some lollipops

Im serious, maybe not the lollipops, but cold hard cash on sight sometimes works.

Bring an extra $20 for the guy your buying it from though

Good luck with finding the right guitar, but I wish you even more luck with your future wife. Have a great day!

Re: Where should I look for historic deals?

wait for one of those weekend sales events at guitar center - labor day maybe? i picked up a G0 for $500 off over the 4th of july sale and they had equally good deals on a couple of R8s and an R9 that they had on the floor as well.
