I think next on my list will be Real 59 Knobs & volume pointers ... They are Vintage Clone and DMC at the moment !!! I have also been toying with the idea of changing the Klusons w/Uncle Lou's out for a set of 1960 Grovers !!!

Re: " SYBIL " Got a Bit of a Makeover !!!

SWEET!!! Sybil is a sexy girl.

Those are some cool little add ons. And REAL PAF's!?!? Are they 60's, or late 50's? Amazing either way.

My baby will wear your old thumbwheels with pride. Thanks again for hooking me up with those.

I think that a lot of it HAS GOT to be in the pups as well. I wonder which would sound better... Sybil w/ PAF's, or a real Burst with BurstBucker I and II's loaded in her...???

Cool Bobbo, the hardware is worth more than the wood. Just kidding, your just building your dream, I can relate. Now just hit it a few times with some abrasive materials aka chains, hammers, flying projectiles..................And your home free brother.

Somebody give me an I'd hit that........................
AMEN

plugged in... A historic with with PAF's would own a burst loaded with burstbuckers, IMO. tone wise that is.

Re: " SYBIL " Got a Bit of a Makeover !!!

Nice add to the guitar Bobbo! Just had some work done by Dave this year. Great guy! I too have been doing the Bobbo mod for awhile...works especially well on a guitar with an ABR-1 and Bigsby.

There a blindfold clip test done by fixxer on the forum with a buch of pickups & the bustbuckers were right up there. Nothing beats OLD GROWTH WOOD period & the correct woods.

Bobbo Mod like how this guy makes everything his own

Have you played a real Burst?

Re: " SYBIL " Got a Bit of a Makeover !!!

Wow, I just sat down and read this thread. Very nice Bobbo. I had no idea that you had so much to that guitar to "relic" it, that's what you call, "doing it right". Hats off mang! Oh the pics are awesome too.
