Can you tell me what it cost, including inlays to have the inlays replaced? Mine turned black and I'm having it done
Thanks

Re: " SYBIL " Got a Bit of a Makeover !!!
If this is such a great mod, as figured out by the ppl who play them, why hasn't Gibson taken notice and just add another screw to the bridge ?

![]() I finally took some pictures that do these inlays some justice !! Here ya go !!! .... I wasn't happy with the fininsh job they did , So I rebladed the board , I also resanded the entire board with 2000 grit and used 00000 steel wool in it as when they did it they only sanded the inlaid frets , So this evened out the color of the board , I strongly suggest it !!! Really brought out the shine in the inlay too !!! I finished the process by oiling the board !!! ![]() ![]()

Re: " SYBIL " Got a Bit of a Makeover !!!
I would love to order me a set of the inlay's, but unfortunatley they wouldnt help my playing any. They do look damn nice Bobbo.
Maybe I'll get a set, when I get a wild hair.

Re: " SYBIL " Got a Bit of a Makeover !!!
Glad to see the you were able to clean up the board. I'm surpeised that the person who installed them didn't take the time to even out the entire fretboard, sand it, buf it, and lightly condition it.
Oh well, the hardest part is getting the old ones out and the new ones in. Which is why I went back t mine a couple weeks after installing them and readdressed some little things that I just didn't have the energy for the first time round. This last set of shots is much better, nice work. From my experience, I woul say that that is an east indian rosewood board. Real nice one at that. |
