What to practice???

Hey Guys,

As you might know from my previous postings, is that I am just getting back into playing guitar after some 20 years..

I find that I am practicing all types of songs, not really learning one song through..

If i might ask, just what do you play when you practice, I am starting to feel overwhelmed, but I am so enjoying playing that I want to learn all I can..

I am open to suggestions..

Thanks,

Eric

why not make the backing tracks yourself? of course you'd need something to record with, but if you have nothing and no budget there's always a free program called audacity available for download online.

Re: What to practice???

I never call anything I do practice, I just plug in and go. Some things lead to other things and so on. Most of my playing is done alone as I dont feel the need to play with others anymore. When I had my studio it seems I always had tape rolling. If it would be called practice I usually try and play alot of things backwards, but mostly I call what I do experimenting. I do teach, give lessons whatever you wanna call it, mostly for free to kids that cant even afford a guitar. Hell I give them my old cheap axes as long as they promise to play. I have a few kids a hell of alot better than I am, I even learn from them anymore. Its all in trying to throw out the right brain, and finding the left brain.
