First song?

Ok I am wondering what full song I should learn for my first but nothing hard and I like rock music and classic rock like guns and roses.

Plus how would i go about learning the song because i am useless when it comes to copying songs from scales instead of tabs.

Re: First song?

well what do you suck at? if its picking learn a song with alot of arpedgios

if you like slash , songs like don't cry are pretty much just chords played arpedgios and power chords .

you did write slash inspired you to play guitar . maybe one of his works is where you should start.

Don't be jealous. If he has the money then he deserves it. He's also more likely to stick to guitar and play more often while owning a Gibson.

From Guns you could learn Patience and Knocking on Heavens Door, easy songs that are all chords.

Re: First song?

Look at the post "Fun GNR stuff for beginners" in the guitar lesson forum. Posted was a couple of easy ones such as "Patience" and "Used to Love Her." I'm one of those people that it takes years to learn songs and I went with both those and learned them today. Give them a go. They're fun too!

I guess you also have a shit car because you aren't a professional racer and you eat shit food because you aren't a chef in a famous restaurant?
