Challenge time!!!!!!
I've noticed a lot of MLP member seem to be AGAINST learning music theory. This is your chance to prove to everyone you don't need theory to rock! Or if you don't know theory you don't know shit.
I cut down the track to 40 seconds, I want you to play over the track and record yourself doing so. If anyone needs any help with recording I can help them. Also it would be nice if theory inclined people were to participate this way we could compare takes. This competition will be open for two weeks, at the end a poll will be created and we will vote on who had the best take. It appears this forum has all types of upload restrictions, so if you post a video on youtube of your take or a external link to a download you should be fine. Yeah I was thinking that, but there is no feasible way for people to upload their takes. I didn't realize there was such restrictions in relation to uploads before I made the thread...

Alright the backing track is up and running.
I think we should really find out who can play more coherently and effective. Those who are students of music or those who think music theory is mindless drivel! I will post my take to break the ice when I get off work, hopefully some of you older dudes school me!
