beginner etudes for electric guitar?
Hi,
I am looking for some nice etudes for electric guitar (With etude, I mean complete piece for solo guitar with a beginning and an end, and not just a riff or an intro). It doesn't have to be famous music, as long as it sounds nice and is challenging and fun to play at beginner level. I just started the second book of Mel Bay's guitar method, and those exercises go quite good on electric guitar, but they are rather boring (although very good to develop speed). For classical guitar, good exercises and methods have been written for the past 400 years (Sor, Carcassi etc...) and many can be played on a steel string acoustic, but most of them don't sound too great on electric. So who can help me with some books or web sites for electric guitar music? Preferably with standard notation. My level is about grade 1-2-ish. |
