As you've probably gathered I'm a bit of a fan of turntables as well as vinyl,but at least I've got it down to owning four.Some I got really cheap and repaired myself.
All my friends have good turntables too,I know they belonged to me once,I got them cheap and serviced them.I can't resist a bargain.I didn't have the room to keep them.If one looks lonely or neglected I end up taking it home.I can't help it.I feel compelled to work on Turntables.

Okay as you have seen this is a Thorens TD160 with a Hadcock GH220ss Arm and Shure V15 111 cartridge.



A Michell Mycro with a Rega RB250 arm and audio Technica AT95e cartridge{A cheap but brilliant sounding beauty.



a Systemdek IIx with SME 111s arm and Shure M97xe



and a budget classic but it sound great dual CS505mk2 witn AT 95e again.


The main point is we are all still playing vinyl

Although I have always wanted a decent TT, I have never invested in any. Not that high on my priority list. I just have a JVC DD automatic. Does the job and I change the stylus accordingly. I used to have a Dual. Don't know what happened to it. And in the past I have had some nice Technics.

No pictures man??.With that collection of records you could get so much more out of a turntable you can tweak up yourself.Something else I saved up and bought is a cleaning machine.Bloody noisy though.I tend to wear earplugs when using it.A bit labour intensive but it makes a really big difference.

I've done some myself too.it isn't that hard,you just need patience.

A record cleaner is something I want to get. I was thinking of the Nitty Gritty Cleaner. Do you know anything about these guys? I believe they have one that does both sides at once. A little more pricey but might be worth it.

The reason I went for the Moth is because I went for the professional version,some of the cleaners you can only run for 15 to 20 minutes.Then you have to switch them off to cool down.You can use the Moth indefinitely.I don't know about cleaning both sides on the Nitty Gritty.You hold the brush by hand on the Moth.The main thing that makes cleaning machines so good is the fact that it sucks all the crap out of the grooves with the vacuum part.
The vacuum on the moth is really powerful.`Again.There is alot of conversations on Vinyl Engine about the pros and cons of different machines.

PS. I'm glad you didn't go for that Fender Relic.It looked really Dodgy.

As far as turntables go though, as long as it has an adjustable tonearm I'm happy. Many don't know the difference if the weight it not right.
