It's been on the drawing board for a long time. Basically I'm designing a champ from hell...

1 ECC83 pre amp and a 6550 power tube running single ended. I'll be using two diffrent PTs. Two B+ voltages one for the pre section and one for the 6550.

Each tube would have it's own heater supply...

I'm thinking about using an interstage coupleing transformer to isolate the power sections.

Thoughts?

I don't see a need to divide the power sections and filaments.
