I agonized over ther choice between this guitar and my Rossington, at the time, and I love my Ross, but man, what a top! Funny thing is, the original owner, and the second owner couldn't give me any kind of tone report, because neither one of them ever played it!

Play it would be the LEAST I would do to it. Ok, that came out wrong...

Curious if I'm the only one this finicky, but I won't consider buying a lefty LP that has a right handed headstock. Why do they go through all the effort of a left handed build, and then put the signature on upside down! Other than that, beautiful guitar that I cannot afford anyway

I hear ya Atheos but to be honest, sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. You see there are actually some vintage Gibby lefties that were made with righty headstocks so those don't bother me. Anything new production really should have a lefty headstock unless its a remake of a classic.

I'm with Frails on this. If it "adds" to the authenticity I don't mind, if it's just plain lazyness or couln't-care-less-ness I do. (I'd still buy it, but hold a grudge...)

In the 50's and 60's, they made the necks first, then put them on right handed and left handed bodies IIRC. Isn't that why on some of the 50's and 60's LP's there are position markers on each side of the fretboard?

Not sure but that kind of surprises me if true because I was under the impression they weren't mass producing guitars yet.
