A local luthier that builds Firebird copies is getting ready to launch his own line of guitars. The model is called the Daylighter. I'm serious thinking of getting one of these built with a '59 neck profile and in a fireburst vs. the pictured cherryburst...

Yeah, I thought so. Slightly cheaper than a Les Paul Standard, too. (and it'll be a handmade guitar..) The one thing that I really like on this is the heel and the cutaway. It looks pretty well-balanced and fretboard access should be a piece of cake.

Every time I see that guitar Sentry, I want to sell all of mine and get one of those. It is so goddamn sexy.

Yeah...it's gonna be sweet. I'll be the first lefty ever to own one....
I've been corresponding with the builder. Shit...he's even going to let me pick out the top for it! I really do like that wormy wood...and it'll also come equipped with WB pickups.

I've got a set of those in my 1980 Gibson Les Paul Custom...they really do sound sweet!
