Well the Arizona CCW law takes affect next month so I decided to pick up a nice 380 pocket pistol for casual carry looked at the Sig Sauer 238 and the Micro Eagle from Magnum research. Looked at several others but I can't handle the plastic and polymer guns so I was pretty limited to these choice to keep with a true all steel gun.

they both had some really cool features The Sig is a much better gun but the Micro Eagle is so simple and tiny it would be a great last ditch pistol. Hard to make up my mind so I didn't I bought both of them to add to my Kahr P9 and the Walther PPK so I should be set

I have a Ruger LCP for my pocket pistol. [IMG][/IMG]I found out last week when I went shooting with Fenn that I am going to have to be damn close to the target to do much more than scare anything.
I also have a Bersa Thunder .380, pretty much a PPK clone.....looks wise. I think that one is going to hit the road.

I use the Beretta Bobcat.

I used to have a Colt .380 Mustang, it was too small for my hand. I then went to a .380 PPK, I gave it to my Mom. Now I've settled on a S&W J frame Mod. 642.

i have the beretta .22 as well. i had a keltec p3at which was a POS. i liked the bersa thunder .380, but i got tired of searching for ammo, so i sold it. the closest i have to an actually carry pocket gun is the taurus 709 slim. besides the long trigger pull, i have no complaints.

I have a Beretta 21 also in 22 cal. great little pistol I just wanted something a little larger than 22 and the new +P high performance rounds have made .380 worth carrying now.

Took them both to the range today as was pleasantly surprised at the performance. The Micro eagle has a brutally long trigger pull but since it's double action only without a safety thats probably a good thing. accuracy with the Eagle was about what you would expect fine at five yards and under then falling off pretty quickly at fifteen yards on a standard human silhouette 13 out of 18 rounds were in the chest ring and the other five floated around but were all in the silhouette. The Micro worked flawlessly with no misfires and like most straight blowback operated guns the hotter the ammo the better it liked it.

The little Sig is quite amazing at the same 15 yards all 18 rounds were in the center with about a four inch pattern, I guess sights do help. it also worked flawlessly with everything i put in, it so overall I'm happy and either one will be fine for carry. there a lot smaller than my SW Chiefs Special or even the Walther PPK Ive had for 30 years.

that's why i'm a 1911 man; easy to put all the rounds in the same place. but they're too big to carry most of the time, so i stick to my glocks.

a couple decades in police work and swat will do that.

I'm a 1911 man by choice also but AZ is too damn hot to wear heavy enough clothing to conceal even a 3 inch officer model. the Sig is exactly the same design as a 1911 which is why I wanted it.
