Don't know if this is accurate but I heard on the tube that Mexico's law for illegal immigration is two years in prison for a first offense and 10 years for a second. A saying about people living in glass houses and throwing stones comes to mind.

i believe that is accurate. mexico has some of the harshest illegal immigration laws in the western hemisphere.

I would love to see a poll of what LEGAL mexican immigrants think of the law( or laws on the books not being enforced).

I work with several former Mexican citizens, all of them are all for the "new" law. They went through the process of legally becoming a citizen, they feel like those who bypass the citizenship, or enter illegally give them all a bad rap, and they have to pay the price for those who don't do things the right way.

The media alludes that if they were to crackdown on ILLEGAL immigration there will be a backlash against that party......Do these ILLEGALS now have voting privileges? It honestly would not surprise me.

I have a feeling that whichever party wants to be the one who steps up and says we are going to crack down will not suffer much if any backlash at all. I imagine the opposite will happen.

A good friend of mine comes from a family of legal Mexican immigrants--You don't want to hear what he has to say---He is the harshest critic of illegal immigration of any human I know--He is brutal to the fullest extent-He served in the Army long enough to retire and although he was born south of the border--Is a true blue American citizen and has not one ounce of consideration of Illegal Aliens-NONE--

My Grandfather was a Belgian Immigrant too-He loved this place, the people, the culture ect..--I grew up in a place full of immigrants from all over the world--I have been told countless stories by these people-I know why they wanted to come and why they came-I understand the desire to be here but we can't afford this huge influx of non-skilled labor at a time when our own citizens with limited or low job skills are not working--Hell, even many of our most skilled and highly educated people are out of work--We must take care of our own right now--

This means sealing off our border to slow down the bleeding-imo

I am a third generation American from the land of the Polock. My family came here legally and were granted citizenship. I don't blame people for wanting to be here, just do it the right way.

Lots of sucky places in the world--We can't fix them all or harbor all their refugees either-

i think you guys hit the nail on the head. it's not about being Hispanic or being an immigrant. it's about doing it the right way. Immigration is what made this country great, even if a lot of immigrants were not wanted at the time. If these foreigners are willing to break this law, which other ones will they choose not to follow?

but let's face it, despite the clownz always claiming this is about race, it really is about votes. The Dems want their votes. Plain and simple.
