Judy Threet makes VERY high end acoustics in Calgary. Last I checked she had a 2 year waiting list. She makes about a dozen per year and they start (or used to about 3 years ago) for $6000 US. Like I said...HIGH END. When you play one you can see, feel and hear the craftsmanship. Amazing.

I found out about these at a local guitar show a while back, they seemed pretty good. The acrylic guitars were back breakers though, way heavier than my LP or Jazz bass (9.7 lbs and 10.3 lbs, respectively) They had a cool Rickenbacker bass copy that felt and sounded great, they arent pictured on the site for some reason, but I'm interested in potentially getting one

Wow, are those even legal or do they fall into "lawsuit" category. Either which way they look great and for the listed prices you can't really go wrong.

I dont know, using famous names for them is a bit dodgy haha but the ones I played were definitely well built, decent for the price

I thought more because of the open book headstock ect. On the site they look exactly like Gibson's. The "Frank" looked exactly like my 61' SGRI, except it says logical on the headstock instead of Gibson.

if I recall correctly, they looked different up close, but yes, they are quite similar. I better hurry up and buy that bass before the lawsuits begin!
