Southern Rockers

Group Created by mmcquain

Fans of all the greats of Southern Rock - from the Allmans and Skynyrd to the Outlaws, MTB, Hatchet, Grinderswitch, Blackfoot, ARS, Wet Willie, CDB, etc. and southern-like bands like ZZ Top, Eagles, Pure Praire League, CCR, Black Crowes, Travis Tritt, Montgomery Gentry, and a lot of the current country rockers who grew up listening to the originals from the 70's.

If it's guitar-driven, melodic twin guitars or just just plain old common-sense, working man lyrics... then you know it's good music that owes a debt to people like Ronnie Van Zant, Duane Allman/Dickey Betts, Rossington/Collins/Gaines, Hughie/Billy, Toy/Tommy, etc.

Saw Gov't Mule on Nov. 1. My third Mule Show this year, and my eleventh overall. They are a great band, especially live. Every show is different. According to Brian Farmer, they prepare the set list just before show time. I've enjoyed every Mule Show I've been to, some more than others, just because some nights they've played more of my favorites than other nights.

My family(30 something people) go down to Hilton Head every year. When we got down there this year there were flyers posted everywhere that Marshall Tucker was playing at the codo complex that we stay at. Except it was the next week.

Marshall Tucker is still jamming hard.

Havent heard a concert announced for them since the late 80's.
They use to roam around small venue's with a couple other bands.
