She plays so well now and the steel wool that I used for about three hours last night has left her glass smooth. I think this is a great way of making your Strat feel amazing t play and helps with making it a smooth ride.

I just had an arrival to the club.

I went out and bought me a cabinet scraper and some tung oil. Next thing you know my battered American Strat had a bare neck.

I will post some pictures in a bit.

The cabinet scraper is a godsend and it only took me about 20 minutes to get the neck ready. So now I am in the steel wool stage and will spend today and probably abit tomorrow making her baby soft.

Cabinet scrapers are most definitely the way forward!

Hell yeah! Just got done applying another coat of tung, and it feels great. Mine looks alot like yours, but i did it my self so its a bit sloppy around the binding. Also got to mention its polly... i STILL have nightmares about getting it all off.

Wish i would of done the stinger, but never had seen one like that before. Maybe ill refinish that area in the future.

I'm in!! The Deluxe on the right doesn't look shaved, but I stained the maple to match the body. No finish, just linseed oil.

The name scared me a bit, but I do love me a shaved neck. Haven't the balls to do it to my LP yet, but I'll be doin to my Tele soon!
