Les Paul Custom with odd color

Saw somebody selling a 100% original 1975 Les Paul Custom with either a Tobacco or Iced Tea burst, couldn't tell from the pictures. Definitely not the cherry.
Gold hardware, serial number was ink stamped and came up as a 1975 on the guitardaterproject website.
However, I thought these were only made in Black, White and Cherry Burst???
Re-finish?? Custom Order?? Not Original??
Any Info would be great.
Would love to see if he would sell it if it is original.
Thanks

Shouldn't a 33 year old, 100% original Custom be worth more than that asking price?

Re: Les Paul Custom with odd color

Yeah - that price is fair. A few years earlier and it'd be worth a couple grand more...

Not saying that it's not a fantastic guitar. It's just that there's a stigma attached to that era of Gibson. It makes for some great deals if you find one of the good ones.

Re: Les Paul Custom with odd color

I've seen that color before. Definitely not a cherry burst. More like a tobacco or antique sunburst finish. The price is over the top though I think. It should be about 2 grand.
