Re: Ngd!!

I followed the thread of this one and I think it looks great. I can't help but think (and no offence is intended here folks) it makes me think of a propper hardened country, hill billy kind of guitar. I can't even think of why, but I know it's particularly the back that gets me, maybe it's the combination of the sunburst back with the amber neck and the orange stinger... Ah well, I don't know. Looks sweet anyway!

Did I read the thread correctly and this was done with rattle cans? Awsome job.

Re: Ngd!!

The color would be much more orange on maple or any light colored wood, Mahogany is just a darkish wood. I do expect it to lighten up over time though Its also much "orangier" in person

Took some odd angle closeup shots with overcast natural lighting, makes the grain pop a lot more ...You gotta see her in person to get the full effect...I love it

Re: Ngd!!

That's because when you go to a direct link of a picture your web browser will automatically scale it to fit the window. If you click on it it should explode into all its hugeness.

True...but the photos on my account that I linked to are scaled to down to 1024x768...its just not reflecting that here for some reason

Apparently it fixed itself as I changed nothing......and now there are huge again ..is Christie Alley runing photo busket now?

You didnt need to edit yourself Eveyones entitled to their opinion

I like the knobs ...amber top hats have always been my fave...I try to like reflectors...and I do on many guitars I dont own My epi sorrento actually came with gold reflectors...and I ditched for amber top hats before she even left the store ....if I change knobs on this anytime soon it would be for the sorrentos going on near 20 year old amber top hats....they are a lot darker due to age...but due to age i probably wont mess withem as they are likely to crumble....

If you post the HUGE pictures first, then edit them to a smaller size in PBucket, you usually need to rename the re-sized photo in PBucket, then replace the original photo in your MLP post with your re-named photo. Works for me.

Re: Ngd!!

The thing is I never posted the huge pics....I uploaded them at 1024 like I've done a million times before...and like the first batch of pics in the thread....PB has been acting wonky for me the last week or so...this is new though. They are normal sized now...but it seems every other time I open the thread they are huge again

Heres a good example of lighting and isolation

This is completely untouched, just cropped

The orange really pops there....I think it will mellow nicely over time...it really is orange, if it had a mple cap it would be screaming orange...the mahogany make for a much more red/orange.
