I'd like a little info on this Custom n' I've seen some of you come up with some useful details by running serial numbers. Could someone please run this one for me? #80981570

Could I get some help with the serial # on my les paul classic? I went to the sight listed above, but it said my guitar was a 1955. I am sure it is not a 1955. The number is 5 0458 and it's a Gibson Les Paul Classic. Thank you.

Some serial numbers cannot process through the Guitar Dater Project for some reason, it explains it in the instructions.

When I tried to look up the # on my new LPC I found that I couldn't use the Dater Project software. I actually had to contact Gibson Cust Support.

1-800-4GIBSON (1-800-444-2766)

Then they gave me some beat info, the year, it's rank in the production, and the year reproduced. Gee thanks, could they spare some info for a customer who just handed over $3600 of his hard earned cash?

But hey, give them a call if there is no other program on the Dater Project site to help you more with your question.
