Re: Let's see some Limited Editions
Man, I few years ago I really wanted a manhattan midnight LE standard, but I never got it. After a falling out period with guitar, I finally got a LP. I got a R7 and I'm quite happy with it.

Re: Let's see some Limited Editions
I remember being struck by the beauty of the Manhatten Blue when I first saw it. I'd never seen a vertical burst and thought that maybe the photos were creating the effect until I saw one at a local store.
Mine's an '04 Santa Fe Sunrise. It sounds killer on top of its looks! I wasn't in the market to buy when I saw this, but I've always been a sucker for a pretty face. This color, along w/ the Black Cherry have an unusual quality - the wood takes the stain unevenly and even good flame isn't "alive" like on a regular burst paint job. I don't like it so much on a lot of the Limiteds unless the flame is really good. Anyone know more about the method of stain/finish on the Sunrise and Black Cherry models? Next to my Historic, this is also the heaviest of my LPs.

Hey Lair? Whats the deal with the hot rod Custom on your avatar? Year, Chambered, 2 pup, colors etc...?

Re: Let's see some Limited Editions
The Custom in my avatar is an '03 1957 Custom 3-pup in Faded Cherry that got a "black flame tattoo" while still at the Custom shop, so it has a CS ser #, instead of 7 3XXXX. The top is almost walnut from the photo-reactive quality of the stain, the rest is still red. The sound is unreal - mahog is a great tone wood. No chambering, I think, cause it's heavy as a tank! 1957 and hot rods - it's a natural match : )

Re: Let's see some Limited Editions
Same size as any LP Std (after thinking of and rejecting several clever replies). I don't have a scale but I pulled my others out to compare and it's easily heavier than my '05 Faded, Fadeds seem to be light in general; almost the same as my '01 LP Plus, which I judge to be too heavy to gig with. Probably sub-ten pound but not by a lot. My 57 Custom Historic (solid mahog) is unnaturally heavy but it's got the Tone.
Welcome to the Forum, let's see your Heritage Cherry! It's one of my favorite finishes.
