I got conned into auditioning for that while they were here in Calgary. Was out till 4am playing a show, got dragged out of bed *embarrassingly since I wasn't alone* by my sister to stand in line like an idiot. Didn't know what it was for, or have anything prepared to perform, didn't shower or get ready, and still stunk of booze from the night before. I wound up playing STP's 'Plush' on acoustic and getting called back for a second and then third audition. Was in the top 50 finalists to be on the show, and fell down the stairs and paralysed myself. Had to back out of the auditions. Thank God... That could have been much worse. 4 months I couldn't walk and I got to watch the first few episodes of the Supernova show. It was so friggin' terrible. Fate is kinda funny though. I personally think it couldn't have happened at a better time. Got to meet Tommy Lee though. He's a little.... Twitchy. The singer from Joydrop was cool, did an interview with her. Was on local and national radio and television for a while. Turned out better for me than actually being on the show. |

I saw VR live at one of their first (if not the first) shows in SF at the Warfield. They were better live. Scott Weiland is great and I have no doubt that he was lured back to STP with the promise of big reunion $$$. I'm also pretty sure VR will find a new singer, maybe even better that Scott. They're pretty tight.
