Tokyo Guitar Show 2007

Got lucky and was sent to the home office the same week as the show!! Im guessing not many members here had a chance to go, so I took pics. The show was sponsored by Fender... so I didnt expect the plethora of Gibbys Id find, but here we go:

Right out of the gate, bursts, and specials...

335 all day long...

And all that JAZZ! During my earlier love affair with pointy guitars I was advised by an elderly man that I needed to forget that noise and find "The biggest fattest guitar I can fit under my arm, and learn to play it!" At the time, I didnt appreciate the advice... I hear him now though...

Can anyone identify that neck pickup? It doesnt look like the P90s in MY LP Special...

Honey Sweet!

Polar opposite of Skid Row... Tha Boyz handiwork from Gibson Custom Shop!!

Git a lil bit closah...

History Lessons...

Yeah, I know it aint a Gibby, but Id never seen an 8 string bass before.

My desired LP Studio - shameless plug, no relation to TGS...

SCORE!!!!! It sounds even better at Home!

Thanks. The pics were great. Congrats on the new Les Paul. By the way, how much is 6.5 million yen in US dollars?

The quick and dirty conversion is to lop off two zeroes. Without regard to fluctuating currencies this will usually put you in the ballpark. However the yen was at about 125/dollar the last time I looked so take the initial $65,000.00 and round it back about 20% I estimate that at about $52,000.00 US.

For anyone in the market... you might want to learn Japanese Son! Get some bargains!

NM... Bursts? recheck the first few pix Son! What burst did you have in mind? Silver? Tobaccy? (Seems like the world is all about the cherry burst... wouldnt mind a tobacco burst myself someday...)

Great photos Kuroyama, thanks!

Anyone else get the impulse to rip off all their clothes and go runing through the Gibsons?!?
