My new LP Custom
I found this baby for sale here in Norway.
A 2003 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty.





He mentioned a damage on the headstock (therefore the low price).



I placed the transaction and the bank will transfer the cash tomorrow morning. I can't wait.

Is this an expensive damage? I don't care much about the damage, but if it's easy and cheap to fix I would consider having it done.

Does it look like an easy fix?

About 1 - 1,5mm of wood has been chipped off.

Just a little paint chip on the headstock? So no problem in terms of functionality of the guitar? Don't fix it... it's mojo.

Hey man Congrats~!

As for the chip, looks like a very easy fix. Binding is still intact & your working with black painted nitro.

I'd leave it for a while & if it bugs ya get her fixed but nothing too big really though I'd hate to have been there when it happened.

Congrats sure is a beauty!

I really wouldn't worry abut the headstock. Doesn't seem to be any serious damage and if you ask me just adds to the mojo!

I just PM'ed Unka Greg on that matter. He confirmed it would be an easy fix.

I emailed the former owner of my GT for the phone number to the luthier who fixed the broken headstock on that guitar, as I'm very impressed by that repair. Maybe he can look at my Custom and see what he can do.

But right now I don't care much about a slight chip. Just looking forward to plug her in and shake the house off its foundation.
