Got my LP Tribute today!

Just got it and took some pics. Played it but not plugged it in yet. It's my first P90 guitar. I will report back on play and feel after a long weekend of playing.

Sweet. I always have trouble visually getting used to that bridge.

I believe the Tributes have a hand written serial number and "PROTOTYPE" stamped down the headstock.

Re: Got my LP Tribute today!

It's pretty heavy, I would say not chambered.

The SR#'s are diferent. They are hand written. And there is a "prototype"
stamp on the headstock.

They made 6 guitars (letters a-f) for each of Les' 94 years.
I think he was born in 1915 so....
1915 A
1915 B
etc...

I got a 1959 x

So 94 x 6 = 564 the total number made.

Re: Got my LP Tribute today!

That's awesome! Quite a collector's item... I think these may be the guitars in 20 years that turn up on ebay going for 20 grand or so.

Um...no.
If anything is going to be worth $20,000+ in 20 years, it'll have Brazilian rosewood or Jimmy Page's name on it.

Get a wife that doesn't mind you buying countless guitars. Even better.

There have been a few threads about that guitar. One of them had a link to a pdf file. IIRC, it said those are "non weight-relieved." Maybe somebody can post that link again? They're either solid or basically a Traditional with P-90s & trapezoid. It's a very nice looking guitar. If I didn't already have a GT, I might have considered one.

Trapeze bridge isn't my thing, but as the extremely patronising saying goes, to each their own.
