it's been a common problem around here. it seems easy to take a moment to post in the correct section.
it must be some posters are too busy to read or are just plain stupid or could just not give a fuck.
every section in this place is loaded with threads that belong somewhere else .

I actually think that's a few people that get pissed that it may be in the wrong section while most people don't give a shit. I may start a poll just to see.

A washed up 70's band that ruined themselves with drugs and alcohol, gets resurrected by a RAP BAND with one of the most nauseating songs ever recorded.

Only good things that ever came out of Aerosmith were Dream On and Liv Tyler.

I had a feeling this was coming after reading an interview w/ Perry bitching
about Tyler canceling shows over the ankle thing. Then, nobody could get in
touch w/ Tyler, etc. etc. etc.

I'm ok with it, but, think they should just call it quits if he's out.
Dont attempt to go on using the name with a different singer.
IMO, it isnt going to work. At least change the name of the group.

Actually, change the name and go a different direction. IMO, they were getting
a little to "pop" for my taste anyhoots.

Of their Newer stuff, Permanant Vacation & Pump were good. Just Push Play Was REALLY good. All that Cryin/Crazy/Amazing stuff.... Adam Sandler covered that pretty well. I'm really disappointed, I had tix to the canceled tour. I hope they can work it out, but if not, the name Aerosmith should be taken off the table.

As far as starting threads in the proper section. Yes, this should be in the Backstage & members can be a little more diligent. The layout makes sense, especially if you're looking in those particular sections. Myself, I mostly look at the New Posts & I really won't lose any sleep if something is in the wrong section. The mods will make the change if they want to.

I guess everyone is different. I grew up with Aerosmith as well, and I would add Train Kept a Rollin, Walk This Way, Livin on the Edge, Going Down/Love in an Elevator, and really the entire Toys in the Attic and Get Your Wings albums, but that's me.

I'd hate to see them break up, but it has been a lot of years. They aren't like ZZ Top and a few other bands that have stood the test of time so well. When I saw ZZ recently, they still sounded awesome to me and their music was as good today as when I listened to them in the 70's.

I'd agree that the recent Aerosmith tunes aren't up to what they did earlier, but I still enjoy them. I recently passed on a concert with them and ZZ Top, but that was more because I had bought so many concert tickets for the year that I needed to cut something and it wasn't going to be AC/DC (who I had never seen before.) I wouldn't say I want to see them fade away, but maybe it is time for them to move on. Apparently they think so.

I saw that vid of Steven in that store posted here a couple months ago. Didn't really know what to make of it, but I do know they have a "sobriety contract" & if any member falls off the wagon, he's out.

I was a big fan of Aerosmith and was looking forward to a great show, when I saw them for the first (and only) time in 1978. They totally sucked, sloppy playing, bad sound mix, childish/arrogant behavior and way to drunk/drugged out. I was so disappointed that I told myself that I would never see them again or buy any of their albums (now CD's). I couldn't care less if Tyler is out of the band since they have been dead to me ever since that F*ck up show.

Yeah, when they did the Permanent Vacation Album, I think thats what they should have done cuz that sucked along with all after that but, Toys in the Attic & Rocks are two of the best Albums Ever Recorded!
